Gift Wrapping
Worried you're not going to be in or want to avoid your other half going snooping for their Christmas gifts? Lets keep everyone on the nice list this year - get your gifts delivered to the pub (during our opening times) and we'll have a Christmas station set up with everything you'll need to wrap it up. We're making it as stress free as possible, with a nice pint in hand. Pop in anytime until Christmas Eve to wrap your gifts, we've got you covered!

Bring Your Baby Pub Quiz
1st Monday every month.
This is a fun, brain-stimulating daytime parent social event. The quiz takes a slower pace than traditional ones as we understand juggling a ‘baby brain’ with a baby can be distracting! Toddlers are welcome. We take two breaks to feed, change and chat, and questions are always repeated. Settle in with the picture round from 12pm, with a further five quiz rounds (including general knowledge, music, connection and themed). Team size is 6 maximum. A lunch menu including vegan and gluten-free options is available. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places include items such as Prosecco, luxury chocolate boxes and beauty boxes. The prizes are for you, not the babies! Complimentary sweet treats for each table (sealed in packaging). Please buy your tickets via the button below. £10 per parent (free for your baby).

QUIZ CLUB
Every Tuesday night Richard the First hosts the HOTTEST quiz night in town! There are tinfoil creations and music rounds, with the occasional crowd-pleaser that is SINK OR FLOAT (it has to be shouted about!) to keep you entertained.
A £75 bar tab is up for grabs for the winning team, runners up win free entry to the next quiz. Don't worry if you don't think you can compete with the top teams, second to last gets a lovely bottle of wine!
Entry is £3 per player with teams capped at 6 or suffer a 1 point penalty for every extra player.

Backgammon Club
A few Greenwich locals got together a while ago in their mutual love of backgammon. They used to be a travelling group, but have since decided that the Richard is the perfect home for them! So why not come down and join them for an evening full of fun and friends.
This community led event is open to all comers. Head on down every first Wednesday of the month (bring your board if you have one) and test your skills against your neighbours. If you don't know how to play come down and the group will be happy to teach you how to play.

New Years Eve
Ring in the New Year with us here at the Richard with drinks, laughter, and plenty of festive cheer! We've got a family friendly countdown for the little ones at 7pm, so they can experience all of the cheer and festivities and still make it in time for bedtime.
Our bar will be open all evening, so gather your friends and family for a pint, a cocktail, or something sparkling as we countdown to 2026. We've got our annual 'Amazing Large Quiz of the Year' so grab your teams and refresh yourselves on all of the news worthy events of 2025 for a chance to bag yourself £75 bar tab. What a way to start the new year!
